This Witco-inspired wood carving depicts three deep sea hatchetfish just going their own way and minding their own business.. These guys are cousins of the more famously ferocious piranha but deep sea hatchetfish use bioluminescence to keep other scary fish from recognizing them. They look scary but really they just want to be left alone to do there own thing.
When you turn off the lights you’ll find that the luminescent photophores actually glow. This piece measures 21.5" x 13" and has two D ring hangers on the back for easy display.
