Of the many adventures with wildlife Colonel Coconut has had over the years, his encounters with pink elephants have certainly been the most frequent. He tasked us to create this piece celebrating one of his favorite drinking buddies, Tipsy the Pink Elephant, whom none of the rest of us have ever met.
In this piece, Tipsy has been hand-carved, burned, and painted. He's mounted onto a fabric backing and into a vintage frame, Tipsy stands out slightly in front of the frame, creating great depth and allowing his trunk to pass beyond the frame's border. Cheers!
